New PSP Slim and Lite! A must have...

Who can buy for me?

Children's Day Celebration... Part 1

I was thinking whether to get some things for my student anot. The day before never prepare and never think about it, is only along the way to school then it sudden struck me. I was wondering whether will they say bad things about me if I never give them anything.

Luckily, there is a NTUC near my school, went in to do some quick shopping. First time go shopping as early as 7am! Went straight to the sweets section to grab a few packets of sweets and made my payment. Total cost me S$13 exact. No more no less.

Here are all the sweets I bought.

Went to my "office" then I realised I have nothing to contain the sweets, because my idea is to put in a box or something for them to choose one. Guess what I use in the end? The cover for the CD-RW container. Not bad right...

Will blog more on my perfomance in Part 2...

My working life so far...

here are shots of my working environment...I think so far I have the biggest "office" room...haha...but I am not alone...I am sharing this "office" with the school TA(Technical Assistant)...but his desk is smaller than mine...hehe...his desk is on my right from where I am sitting. In the first photo, try to spot the one with the black CRT monitor and a red and black water bottle(if you open your eyes bigger you might be able to see it) on the table, that is his space. Anyway my "office" is on the 3rd floor, good form of "exercise" workout for me every morning, can also learn my times table while walking up the stairs, cause they painted 3x3 = 9, 3x4 = 12 and so on on every step, so while you climb you can see, other staircase have other form of times table...last time my primary school don't have lor...

On 30th August, I was conducting my IT lesson as usual, when some students from Primary 6 came knocking on my door, offering some goodies and snacks, I thought to myself, what was the occasion? Only then I realised they are celebrating teachers' day in advance. Is like the eve, eve of Teachers' day.I was like, aiyo I am here like how many days only and I am getting "teachers" treatment liao, to be honest the feeling is not bad lor.haha. Another teacher was there also and she was offered the same treats...

Anyway I told myslef that I am going to take a picture of the treats before I eat, but I was greedy and ate up a few items, so I only left with one miserable "popiah" for everyone to see. Sorry ah.

I will blog about the Teachers' Day celebration in details in my next entry. So stay tuned.

SDMA - Schools Digital Media Awards

Schools Digital Media Awards, something interesting to look forward to. Mdm Elly have discussed with Mdm Siti and most likely we will be participating in this event. Gonna get busy real soon. I guess I will be assisting the students most of the time in this upcoming project.

Currently I am squeezing my brain jucies to see whether I can come out with catchy ideas. Not that simple lor. Really have to take my hats off for those film makers. Imagine just a 5 min video I have to think so hard, those film makers have to think even harder to come out with a 1 hour plus movie. Sigh... MAY CREATIVE THINKING COME TO ME NOW!

Not only do I have to squeeze my brain juices out,I also have to constantly take notice of everything around me just to get inspiration. Wah...now my eyes also have to work! =P

But ultimately at the end of the whole project, I hope I can come out with some interesting ideas and will be able to win something for the school. That will be my goal to work towards to...

NJRC

NJRC - National Junior Robotics Challenge. The school I am attached to now, send a robotics team for this challenge. I was quite half-hearted to bring them there because I know that I am bringing them there to lose. Anyway I put up a false front and went together with Mdm Erlin and Mdm Elly.

Upon reaching Science Centre, I couldn't believe the number of students from just one school particpating in this event. They have their cheerleading group,2-5 groups of robotics team and many other small events group. Wah lau eh.I turned around and look at my group, 2 teachers and 4 boys, which make up a total 7 of us. SO PATHETIC! Is like losing half of the battle...Sigh...I guess the only thing that is good about our group is that we are small and easy to handle, I could see some of the teachers from other schools screaming at the top of their voice to handle their students.

Anyway this is my first time participating such an event and I really find that this is a very good learning exposure for me and the teachers, learnt quite a lot from it.

At the end of the day, our team didn't qualify for the finals. We were ranked 56 out of 151 teams for that day with a score of 20 points. The top 20 teams manage to score between 50-75 points to earn them a spot to qualify for the finals. I was quite proud of my boys, because they kept their composure at all times even though they are facing tough competition and slight trouble along the way. Good work guys! We will work towards the finals the next round!
