Jia Lat! I am glued to this show! Any cure for it? It only make me want to buy the vcd and watch! Damn! Anyone out there got the vcd can lend it to me? PLEASE!!!

Wah lau eh...who? i sleeping soundly when the doorbell keep ringing. Reluctantly opened the door, there is a postman standing there holding a letter in his hand.

"Excuse me, is this Mr Melvin Tay residence? There is a letter for him."

I said yes and signed for it.

Close the door and with my half open eyes I opened the letter.Hey!It's my driving license!
No need to carry the temporary paper driving license around already!Great!

Finally!

Today I finally got to drive the car. After putting up the probational plate, I took over the driver seat for the first time. Co-driver is my dad and the passenger behind is none other than my mum.

Drove out to the main road and off to my grandma's place. A few rounding in her neighbourhood and next to woodleigh park(It's a private estate area up a hill off braddell road). The roads inside woodleigh park are winding and narrow so had to tackle a few difficult bends. Well, dad was like saying my steering is abit stiff. PLEASE lah, the car so big and with you seating next to me obviously stiff lah.

Drove out of the estate, and head back to bishan. Dad directed me to bishan sports stadium. There is a roundabout, slope, narrow roads and plenty of empty parking lots. Reason why he came here is to let me gauge how to maneuver the car in tight bends.

The next thing is PARKING! Okay, where are the poles? NONE! So how? Die lah. Spend most of the time there figuring out how to park the car. No poles to help, now is based on 'FEEL' and own judement. After all the practise, still can't get the hang of it. Well, have to find another time to practise again. Headed back home, this time is really parking with all the cars around. Will I hit a car? Give it all out lah! Did a few tries and finally parked the car into a lot! Phew!

Happy that I finally get to drive on the road, overall my mum felt safe and okay on the road, only sad thing is the parking of the car. Will continue to practise and attain a high level of driving experience.

Bad planning!

Anyone been to Bishan NTUC? The one that has 2 storey? I think the floor planning of the place is very bad! Here is the scenerio. (Please take note. This apply to those who go shopping for groceries alone.)

Imagine you want to get sugar for your coffee/tea? Very good! Is at the first level near to where they display all the rice. After buying/selecting what you need, you remembered that your mum need you to buy cooking oil. You search high and low for it at the first level thinking that they might put daily groceries together. Sorry! Wrong thinking! Never mind you approach the sales girl/guy asking where is the cooking oil. They tell you is upstairs. Okay, the next question is where is the escalator. Oh! Is outside NTUC not inside here. WHAT! They don't have an escalator itself in the premises! YES they do! For people from the second level to come down to the first level! They don't have it going up! The going up escalator is outside NTUC itself! Then what about all the things you got it at first. Don't tell me you put back all the things or leave it at the first level, go upstairs get the cooking oil and come down again? Don't forget, you are alone. No one to help you go up to the second level to get it. What the hell! What stupid theory and planning is that?!

Okay then imagine you are smart this time. You go upstairs first got all you things there then you proceed to the first level! Opps!!! I forgot all about the butter! Then how? What are you gonna do?smartass!

What I am trying to say here is, Bishan NTUC really need to revamp its layout! If it continue to be like this, I believe alot of people won't patronise this outlet anymore. Shopping for groceries should not be so hectic. Is like you need to plan your route first before you buy your stuff! It should not be the case!

Well it will be my first and last time going there. Until they do something about it!

I am a DRIVER!

I pass my driving! It was nerve wrecking! There were 9 testee that day but I guess only 5 of us made it. It was all good. The circuit was alright, no problem no mistake no points deducted. Trouble came once I was outside the road. Wrong usage of gear, never use engine brake, delay in moving off, i never notice all this mistake leh. Only one I did realise is that I use 2nd gear to move off at one point of time. Overall was good. The examiner never use much of his pen. It was a good sign. He wrote the score at the back of the assessment checklist and tick the MOST important box of all PASSED! Went straight to the traffic department paid for my license and submitted my photo. Now is the wait for the plastic card to be delivered to me!

Like to thank all the instructors that taught me before at SSDC. Thank you for the guidance and patience and most of all believing in me that I can make it the first time. God Bless all of you!

WISH! Here I come!

Driving Test on 140306!!!

Okay. The day has finally come. The matter of truth will be out on this very day. Will I hold the car key to the future and drive myself to the next century? or will I have to attempt it the second time? Answer will be out once I reach home and update my blog!

One of my biggest goal in my life. Getting my driving license!
Come so far and spend so much and in return if I pass, I will drive my family around, especially my sis(then we can go shopping!), go to places without people have to drive me there or fetch me home and I don't mind being the Ah Mat for my dad!

Spongebob where are you?

Finally found Patrick(sidekick to SpongeBob Square Pants) the soft toy i saw online at Takashimaya. It was like 24" in height with a huge waistline(15"). Sitting quietly smiling at me on the display shelf at the toys department.

I did not imagine the cuddle toy to be that BIG, i thought it was just a small little figure. I was so tempted to buy it. Can't imagine a big guy like me buying a soft toy! I told you I had a sad childhood. Anyway I browse further to check out is there any other Patrick soft toy around, true enough they have a hand puppet of Patrick(they also have it in SpongeBob but ultimately I still choose him) so I bought it without thinking.

My sis said: "Aiyoh! Why you buy?But come to think of it...quite cute lah! You want to buy the big one? Later mummy sure scold you one! Then where you want to put it?"

So many questions! Don't buy lah!

In the end I satisfy myself by buying the hand puppet, just as cute.

Ok! Enough of talking. Gonna play with my puppet!

Highly recommend this listen to this singer. He is a songwriter for alot of famous singer in taiwan. So after working hard writing songs, he came up with his own album. A very shy singer but once he perform on stage, he totally captivate his audience. Few songs to recommend are:

- 刮目相看

In fact all his songs are very nice, slow and very meaningful.

i was working at Red Wings yesterday then i decided to play some chinese song. I was playing 曹格 - 世界唯一的你 . A couple walked in browsing some shoes then the girl said

"Wah...this song very nice leh...soo lomantic!"

The guy say:"Got meh...ok only lah!"

I was like...please lah, the guy really have no taste, not romantic never mind but have bad taste is the worst!Go dig your ears before you say anything. The girl is so damn right about this song!
